An educational institute established in 2026 in Birmingham with a vision to nurture the next generation of Islamic scholars and specialists in the sciences of Hadith.
As part of Jami Mosque & Islamic Centre Birmingham, Al-Zuhri Institute provides high-quality Islamic education for adult learners seeking to deepen their knowledge of Islam.
Alongside our academic programmes, we also offer an Adult Hifẓ al-Qur’an Programme, providing an opportunity for adults to memorise the Noble Qur’an under experienced teachers in a supportive and structured environment.
At Al-Zuhri Institute, we are committed to combining authentic Islamic scholarship with academic excellence, personal development, and spiritual growth. Our aim is to equip students with the knowledge, character and confidence to serve their communities and continue their educational journey both in the UK and abroad.

Ethos and Values
Our ethos is an expression of our character – it is a statement of who we are and therefore the lens
through which we assess all we do. The work of Al-Zuhri Institute is motivated and inspired by the
life, message and example of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
This is summarised in the following statements:
– a reliance on the Almighty (SWT) in all our affairs;
– a desire to treat everyone fairly and justly, respecting differences;
– a commitment and aspiration to live a life that fulfills the rights of the Creator and His
creation;
– a belief that seeking knowledge is a lifestyle choice and is lifelong;
– a commitment to be positive role models for all members of society through our
character, interactions and generosity of spirit towards others;
– we know the need of education is important. Therefore, our relentless determination to
succeed ensures we use the knowledge we have to make things happen
